Hon. Barbara Oteng- Gyasi, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture has affirmed Stonebwoy’s speech during the MVA that Musicians in general are National Assets.
During Stonebwoy’s performance, Stonebwoy paused and passed a comment saying,
“Big up to SM, big up to Shatta Wale mi breda, big up to Sarkodie mi breda. It will take another 40 years to find me, Sarkodie and Shatta in this industry. Forty years. We be national asset. If you like don’t protect, if you like protect, we be national asset.”
Well, the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture , Hon. Barbara Oteng- Gyasi presenting an award said,
“Infact, i have to agree with Stonebwoy that the Industry is a National Asset. Musicians educate and entertain us, musicians sell Ghana to the world, and they generate employment and revenue for the Country. Musicians have to be protected.”
